I’ve spent over a decade working with families to achieve their sleep goals through sleep shaping, conditioning, and training. My approach is family-centered with a focus on infant/child developmental needs and sensory experiences while being mindful of parental boundaries. Using my experience and education in infant, early childhood, and perinatal mental health, I collaborate with caregivers to mindfully achieve their family’s sleep goals.
My methods are gentle and based on caregiver-child attunement; we work together to identify your young child’s behavioral cues and communication and set a plan that honors their needs while helping parents keep their sleep boundaries. Not wanting to try cry it out? No problem. Need strategies to cope through your baby’s crying? My coaching will validate your experience as we find ways to appropriately respond to your baby’s communication. I offer companionship and guidance as we navigate your child’s journey for independent sleep and it will have you feeling confident and proud of both yourself and your baby. My approach is centered on building healthy routines that fit naturally with your baby’s natural rhythm rather than prescribing a rigid schedule that feels unnatural to your family’s daily routine.

What is sleep shaping?
Sleep shaping is a gentle approach to conditioning a newborn to have healthy sleep habits. My approach does not rely on the use of sleep crutches such as blackout tents, electronic bassinets, or overly restrictive sleep sacks but rather encouraging your baby’s self-soothing skills. I aim to help families understand their baby’s natural rhythm and cues to create a solid and responsive sleep routine.

How does sleep shaping work?
I use my extensive background in child development and family relations to create a game plan that honors your baby’s sensory needs, developmental level, and social-emotional experience. Parents are put at ease in their child’s sleep journey by utilizing these developmentally appropriate strategies specifically curated for their family. There is no one right answer for sleep conditioning and training- just as every adult has their own unique sleep needs, every child does as well! My ability to assess a family’s needs while understanding their goals and connecting them with their baby’s behavior and development allows for a collaborative approach leads families to feel empowered.

1 hour video call

2 weeks of ongoing text support, including middle of the night
